Updated list for the last week of April 2020

COVID-19 Resources for Business

To be a small business owner now is a tremendous task, you worry about everything, your people, resources, finances, statuses of many applications that you filled for grants and loans. Lost revenue.

Thankfully many organizations cut prices, some even offer their services for free.   A little self-promotion here www.selectpop.com

I will start this list of this week’s resources with this simple tool –  Intuit Aid Assist—a free service for everyone—helps U.S.-based businesses, self-employed, contractors, freelancers, and gig workers understand different business relief programs. Just a few quick questions determine if you’re eligible for the two largest relief programs. Both programs make loans available to qualifying businesses and the self-employed.

  • Cover eligible payroll and certain expenses with a forgivable loan through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)
  • Get an upfront grant and emergency lending from the Small Business Administration with an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)

Second, is Facebook which is offering $100M in cash grants and ad credits to help during this challenging time. Check if you qualify for FaceBook Small Business Grants Program

Next is Salesforce Care Small Business Grants are opened.  To be eligible to apply, businesses must:

  • Be a for-profit business
  • Have between 2 to 50 employees
  • Have been in business for 2 years as of March 2020
  • Have an annual revenue between $250k to $2M
  •  Have experienced challenges from COVID-19

WeWork offering space at no cost, FREE. I am curious to see who will actually use this offer. and,

Google Meet will soon be free for anyone with a Gmail account. Starting in early May, we’ll be able to sign up for Meet with our Gmail account. Some of the features include the ability to create and host meetings with up to 100 participants by going to Meet’s website or using its iOS or Android app.

I will finish with my personal favorite – Nightly Met Opera Streams – Each day, a different encore presentation from the company’s Live in HD series is being made available for free streaming on the Met website, with each performance available for a period of 23 hours, from 7:30 p.m. EDT until 6:30 p.m. the following day. The schedule will include outstanding complete performances from the past 14 years of cinema transmissions, starring all of the opera’s greatest singers.

I am staying positive and hopeful during these challenging times, stay safe and healthy!
